1946年，国民党军与我军在东北驿马川一带战成胶着态势。驿马川匪患严重，民不聊生。我军常胜连入川剿匪，与以弓万堂为首的土匪势力展开较量。解甲归田的抗日英雄杨烽火与弓万堂是八拜之交，既是兄弟又是情敌。常胜连指导员宋毅制定了各个击破土匪的“分金计划”，而匪首弓万堂则提出了借共产党铲平异己，一统驿马川的“并金计划”，杨烽火在民族大义和江湖情义之间，选择了站在宋毅一边。在杨烽火的帮助下，常胜连最终剿灭了匪患，宋毅为此付出了生命。杨烽火也重新加入了解放军，回到了民族解放的战场上。An intimate peek into the relationship of two Black gay men.
