平凡的一天，供职于洛杉矶某银行的经理玛丽·沃什（布莉特妮·墨菲 Brittany Murphy 饰）请假陪同男友凯文·皮特森（迪恩·凯恩 Dean Cain 饰）去做一项常规的韧带手术。一切看似正常，但是自从玛丽离开手术室后便再未见过凯文。由于等候过于漫长，她请求服务台查询手术情况，结果发现并没有凯文的治疗记录，原定的主刀医生休假，连当初接待的护士也查无此人。警方随后介入调查，结果依旧一无所获。警方和医院负责人大为光火，他们开始怀疑玛丽所说的一切，甚至认为她精神出现问题。真相究竟如何？凯文到底又在何方？ 本片女主角Brittany Murphy于2009年12月20日去世，享年32岁。。An under-appreciated, over worked assistant entrusted with a million dollar necklace races to find out which of his friends betrayed him, as he battles a desperate criminal duo bent on stealing the necklace.
