后宁初定，新帝霍景衡（王瑞昌饰）选纳贤妃，宣失踪两年的前朝丞相岳驰（谢兴阳饰）的妹妹岳灵儿（李子璇饰）入宫侍奉。爱妹心切的岳驰不忍妹妹进宫受气。同时，也因霍景衡近期对前朝之人和前朝之事多有关注，他担忧霍景衡会对旧朝旧臣有清洗动作，便决定替妹入宫探查虚实。然而这一切皆为岳灵儿与霍景衡合谋，借纳妃让岳驰入宫，助其重新入仕。岳驰在宫中凭借才智躲过麻烦，而霍景衡借国舅失职等连环计，步步为营将治世能臣岳驰推上右相之位。二人虽因前朝公主江云轻（龚婉怡饰）的离间产生嫌隙，却在共抗离国太子易青云（汪佳辉饰）的阴谋中肝胆相照，解决了内忧外患。。Set in the 1930's, this gangster spoof tells the comic tale of a Johnny Kelly (Michael Keaton) who is forced into a life of crime in order to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment.
