一列飞驰的列车，搭载着古城乌池的富家小姐尹静琬（李小冉 饰）和飞扬跋扈、意气风发的承军少帅慕容沛林（钟汉良 饰），人称慕容四少。一场追杀让这两个身分全然不同的陌生人就此结识。短暂的分别后，二人各自遵循着命运的指引前进。四少的父亲离奇身亡，他临危受命，在野心家的环围中掌控大局；静琬期待与恋人许建璋的重逢，谁知对方却因偷运军火而被四少抓获，朝不保夕。以此为机缘，静琬与四少再次相逢。经过一段时间的相处，而人心中各自有着别样的情愫。然时值乱世，战火纷纷，儿女情长总归要接受血与火的洗礼，一段亘古传奇由此流传…… 本片根据匪我思存的小说《碧甃沉》改编。。Birds of paradise are one of David Attenborough's lifelong passions.
