When Heather Chase, the daughter of the scientist Ste...。少林寺众僧立志反清复明，至善禅师(姜大卫)前往峨嵋山取得炼钢之法和铸造各种兵器、暗器的图样之后，匆匆赶回少林，却遇上清兵火烧少林寺，寺中众僧大部份血战而死。至善前往南方，肩负起重建少林寺的重任，一面化缘募捐，一面结识江湖豪杰，并收录李锦纶(徐少强)、童千斤(吴杭生)等热血青年为弟子……。包得成（岳華）精技擊，以幪面盜身份劫富濟貧，與官府作對！偵緝處長馬步雲之子千里（陳鴻烈）工心計，設計誘捕包，其間戀上表妹王丹萍（李菁），但王已許身於醫生李大偉（何藩），千里竟設計捕下李，並欲殺之以圖獨得王；包往營救，反遭逮捕。幸包助手蕭忠（吳家驤）入獄接濟武器，包當晚即將李救出，逃獄成功。其後，包假冒保安司令妾侍孔雀（于倩）的姨父，混入保安司令家，結果將群醜盡殲，為民間除害，最後，包更護送王與李會面，再飄然離去！。
