本剧主要讲述的是明代绍兴府一家百年老酒馆里的六位伙计在经营黄酒生意的过程中，通过接待形形色色的客人们发扬了乐善好施、团结互助、嫉恶如仇、维护正义的精神，最后成功截获叛军情报，守护了一方百姓的故事。。Tony Soprano，貌似只是普通的中年商人一个，身边围绕着顺从的妻子，叛逆的儿子，学业出众的女儿，正在渐渐失去威严的叔叔，容易头脑发热的侄子，还有个众人皆知的情妇和一个听他倾诉的心理医生——黑帮老大的心理医生，和《老大靠边闪》有得一拼！。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee).
