The intertwining tales of three 5th grade friends, Chris, Joe and Ted, unfold in the suburban paradise of Palo Alto, as the threat of a mountain lion looms over the community.。《湖海争霸录》为香港丽的电视（RTV）全盛时期制作的电视剧，于1980年3月24日首播，全剧共60集。剧集由萧笙、黎大炜监制，萧若元、江龙、徐正康参与故事编撰，郑丹瑞为剧本编审，程小东、韩义生等担任武指，李惠民、范秀明、唐基明等负责编导，是当时丽的电视沿用《天蚕变》与《天龙诀》的班底，加入曾江、米雪等实力演员所推出具有野心的原创新剧，力求再造《天蚕变》及《天龙诀》的收视强势。剧中虽然有提及到《天龙诀》的内容，但故事没有必然的联系，不难看出那是电视台借“天蚕”的影响力作出的宣传噱头，若把《湖海争霸录》归成“天蚕”系列第三部，实在有点牵强了。 《湖海争霸录》的故事背景设为明万历初年，涉及张居正、高拱、朱翊钧等历史人物，主要讲述神火教、天争教、天山派、朝廷、海盗、倭寇、女真、蒙古等等势力之间的恩怨纠葛。虽然剧集标榜原创，但剧情和人物相当部分取材自《云海...。The 1960s was an extraordinary time for the United States.
