冰（李嘉欣 饰）是一个上海著名企业家的女儿，为了寻找与自己的失散了十几年的亲生母亲，不惜瞒着父亲来到香港，并认识了“黑马王子”华弟（刘德华 饰），华弟好心收留了她，并与母亲一起帮她寻找生母。不料冰被人绑架，华弟协助警方救出了冰。冰受伤后，华弟更把自己的一部分肝脏捐给了冰。冰与父亲一起回到了上海，可是正在修养期间的她发现自己已经爱上了华弟。就在她生日那天，父亲说要介绍她认识一位“白马王子”……。The ship has been stuck in the doldrums for some time, but as soon as they break free into more promising water, the wind blows up suddenly, damaging the foremast and sending the ship right back into the still water.
