故事发生在六十年代的香港，高浩云（刘松仁 饰）深受上司雷洛天（李子雄 饰）的赏识，为了平步青云，高浩云离开了爱人连少君（周海媚 饰），亦抛弃了儿子茅进（陶大宇 饰），之后，高浩云同雷洛天的妹妹雷家宝（麦家琪 饰）结婚，前途一片光明。 失去了高浩云的庇护，连少君和茅进的生活可想而知，长大成人的茅进加入了黑社会，他的心中一直无法原谅薄情寡义的父亲，深深埋下的复仇的种子开始发芽。茅进结识了高浩云的养女高学柔（杨恭如 饰），企图通过伤害她来实现自己的复仇。哪知道高浩云的儿子高学龙（谭耀文 饰）识破了茅进的诡计，一场明争暗斗在这对同父异母的兄弟之间展开。。Many of us dream of living in a different country, but the reality of making it work is often much harder than the dream.
