20世纪30年代，古老的中华大地再披磨难，内有国共对峙，外有强梁入侵。国际大都会上海更成为各方势力犬牙交错、勾心斗角的角斗场。时有原中共党员顾顺章叛变革命，致令中共地下党设在上海的组织遭到毁灭性打击，其所负责的电台也岌岌可危。为了挽救革命的果实，党组织派潜伏在敌特总部的地下党员宋英杰（郭广平 饰）护送代号为“银针”的交通员前去与长征队伍汇合，而在战场上立下赫赫战功的红星团团长石破天（郭涛 饰）变成了这次行动的护卫队队长。性格和阅历的差异，令石宋二人心中颇多隔膜，而石破天的妻子更成为了他们矛盾的焦点。 与此同时，敌特头子徐恩铭设下“青蛇计划”，意欲将护送“银针”的行动彻底扼杀……。The story about Swedish ambassador in Chile - Harald Edelstam - and his heroic actions to protect the innocent people from the execution during and after the military coup on September 11th 1973.
