But, when the grandfather she never knew about passes away, her life is suddenly ...。故事发生在清朝康熙年间，忠臣何大人遭到奸人所害，沦落到全家抄斩的境地。其女玉凤（黄杏秀饰）为了救父亲勇闯法场，虽然连砍了刽子手十三刀，但依然不敌对方身强体壮，虽然没能救得了父亲，但是玉凤得到了“十三妹”的江湖绰号。 安骥（汤镇业饰）是玉凤的青梅竹马，亦和玉凤有着相似的遭遇，同仇敌忾的两人结伴行走江湖，发誓为他们的家人报仇。一次偶然中，两人遇见了康熙的妹妹双格格（翁美玲饰），双格格在误打误撞之中爱上了女扮男装的玉凤，期间闹出了不少的笑话。实际上，双格格的真实身份早就被九难师太（李琳琳饰）给识破了，她打算利用双格格来完成她刺杀康熙的大业。。
