George Harvey Bone is a composer in early 20th century London, who is under stress because he is writing a piano concerto. Due to this stress, he gets black outs when ever he hears dissonances. When he finds himself after the black out in a different quarter of the town, he returns home, to read in the paper that somebody in that quarter was murdered. Asking help from a doctor ...。反应的也是大跃进的内容，一个生产队萝卜种的大，大家都分别展示，一个比一个大，最后结尾好像大家忽然发现自己所在的房子也是一个超级大萝卜。。爸妈去城里打工，家里由爷爷照顾九岁的开开上学和生活。 开开捡了一只流浪狗，取名叫小胆儿。小胆儿胆子特别小，平时不敢叫唤，爷爷以为它是哑巴狗。小胆儿很聪明，开开让干啥小胆儿就干啥，开开走一步它就跟一步，生怕再走丢了。小胆儿成了开开最好的朋友。 后来爷爷去世，开开爸妈开始给开开准备所有的生活用品并逐一交待好，在一天早晨悄悄回城了。开开醒来发现爸妈不见了，追到村口大哭了一场，开始了自己的独立生活......。
