When Reg is injured and loses his well-paid job, they are evicted by bailiffs, and they face a life of poverty and unemployment, illegally squatting in empty houses and staying in shelters. Fin...。杨老爷子是一位老相声演员，老伴早已故去，李一凡是鼓书演员，爱人也已去世，二人多年来互相照顾，暗生感情，春节快到了，杨老爷子的孩子为了使老人高兴，动员老人回到旧居过年，杨老爷子十分高兴,鼓足勇气对儿女摆出要接李一凡来家，儿孙似无法接受，老人赌气离家来到李一凡家中，一气之下生病住院，儿女们得知此事心中懊悔，同意老人的心愿，李一凡也把自己的想法告诉了从国外回来的儿子，大家聚在杨老爷子的病床前向他表白心声，假装昏迷的老人听得笑出了声。。故事讲述一个满脸写着正直的西西里裔的年轻法官吉多•希亚伟（Guido Schiavi）来到了西西里村庄卡泊达尔索（Capodarso）。（众看官露出“有好戏看了”的表情）。而希亚伟不但与当地以帕萨拉夸（Passalacqua）为首的强大的黑手党势力发生冲突，而且还爱上的人正是试图向他行贿的煤老板的老婆！最终他对正义的信仰能不能经受得住考验呢？。
