Led by the Fox and the Hare, the animals unite in search of their friend the Owl, to find out what is going on, and to save their homes…。本作の主人公は、推理小説家に憧れながらも貧乏生活を送る平井太郎。のちに江戸川乱歩となる人物で、ひょんなことから出会った初老の名探偵・白井三郎とともに難事件に巻き込まれていく。。
